Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern) has supported the Chicagoland Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure for more than 4 years. CTCA at Midwestern has committed their resources in an unprecedented two-year sponsorship, helping to empower the Chicagoland breast cancer community to take action and better educate themselves about breast health. As the first ever Affiliate Presenting Sponsor in Chicago's history, CTCA is supporting the Chicagoland Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in the fight against breast cancer! CTCA has provided integrative cancer treatment to patients for almost 30 years to patients diagnosed with complex cancers. This translates into a merging of the conventional clinical treatments and technologies for fighting cancer (such as surgery, radiation and chemotherapy), along with scientifically supported complementary therapies (such as nutrition, naturopathic medicine, mind-body medicine and spiritual support). CTCA physicians and clinical staff work together to provide individualized treatment plans to patients.
In 2010, CTCA at Midwestern’s breast cancer treatment program was granted full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer (NAPBC), which is administered by the American College of Surgeons. This accreditation demonstrates CTCA’s compliance with the standards established by the NAPBC for treating women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. CTCA at Midwestern is also the recipient of the HealthGrades® 2010/2011 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™.
