What is Dancing with Chicago Celebrities?

Dancing With Chicago Celebrities is similar to ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.  This dazzling event boasts six of Chicago’s hottest celebrities who show off their newly-learned talent of ballroom dancing in a celebrity dance-off by performing a choreographed routine with an Arthur Murray professional.  Following the celebrity dance-off, alumni from past year’s events take the floor for a group routine, followed by the Arthur Murray professionals owning the room for a knockout finale show. 

Who dances at Dancing with Chicago Celebrities?

Everyone!  The event features a group of Chicago’s most notable individuals competing in the celebrity dance-off; however, throughout the evening all guests are encouraged to take the floor during the general dancing sessions. 

What time does the event start?

Cocktails begin at 6pm and the celebrity dance-off gets underway at 7pm.

Where do I park?

The Hyatt Regency offers valet parking. 

How can I buy tickets for the gala?

I’m having troubles purchasing the ticket online, what should I do?

If I buy a group of tickets for myself and friends, will we be seated together?

Tables of ten are available for purchase for $1,750.  General seating is also available on a first come, first serve basis.

If I buy a ticket and cannot make it, will I be refunded?

No, we are not able to accommodate refunds.

When do I need to purchase tickets by?

Tickets are sold through Komen Chicago’s website until 6pm on Thursday, March 8.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door the evening of the event via cash, check or credit card.

Can I buy a ticket onsite?

Yes! A limited amount of tickets will be available for purchase onstite. 

 
 What time is registration?

6pm.

 When will I receive my tickets for the event?

Hard copies of your tickets are not provided and tickets will NOT be mailed in advance.  Once tickets are purchased online, you will receive a notification and your name will be added to the guest list.

 Are drinks included in the ticket price?

Komen Chicago has a long history of keeping expenses low and being excellent stewards of donor dollars. To this end, we will not offer an open bar. However, this event offers a cash bar and new this year, we will offer an exclusive opportunity to purchase a "passport" in which to enjoy beverages from a number of the best-known beverage partners in Chicago.

Will there be a sit-down dinner at the event?

Dinner is served buffet-style throughout the evening.

What is the attire for the event?

Black tie optional or cocktail attire.

How do I get to the Crystal Ballroom?

 Is there a place to put my coat?

Yes, a coat check is available onsite.

What portion of my event ticket is tax-deductible?

All online purchasers will receive an auto-generated receipt and confirmation including important tax information. For your reference, the event ticket price is $175 and the Fair Market Value of the evening is $50, thus a $125 tax deduction.
