Who are you running for? — Join in the fight against breast cancer by running a full or half marathon through Marathon for the Cure™
Rally for the Cure — Golf, tennis, dinner events and so much more...
A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
Participating in the Susan G. Komen Chicago Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. It also strengthens the impact that you have on the movement to end breast cancer. You’ll have a wider pool of donors and can band together to pull off group fundraising activities. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.
This year, it takes only 2 people to be considered an official Race team. Start a team by registering yourself as a team captain. Then, invite a friend, family member, or coworker to register and “join your team”. Don’t just stop at one team member…the more, the merrier!
Teams Rock! Start a team of 2 or more by [date] and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a pair of free tickets to the June 19th Eagles concert. Plus, the team with the most members on [date] will get a free team suite at the show! Details…
Start (or Join) a Team Now for the Chicago or Lombard Race. The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. If you’ve already registered for the Komen Chicago Race and want to form or join a team, e-mail teams@komenchicago.org.
Download the Team Captain Guide. Our Team Captain Guide contains everything you need know about starting a team, adding team members, and fundraising as a team! It also includes a special team certificate and tracking sheet! Click here to download guide.
Will Your Team Be One of our “Top Teams”?
When you register your team, you will be asked to select a division (for example, corporate, friend/family, academic, etc.). The top fundraising team and largest team in each division (and at each Race location) will receive special recognition at the Race*. *Except for “Corporate” division. Fundraising dollars and number of team members will be combined for Chicago and Lombard Races to determine “Largest Corporate Team” and “Top Fundraising Corporate Team”.
