The 5th Annual Dancing with Chicago Celebrities raises $130,000
$130,000 was raised at ths very unique fundraising event held on March 12th - the Hyatt Regency which brought together local celebrity dancers for a magical evening of ballroom dancing, wonderful food and general dancing for all guests. Congratulations to Valerie Warner, winner of the celebrity dance contest which also included Erin O'Connor, Erich "Mancow" Muller, Matt Rodewald, Mai Martinez and D.C. Crenshaw. Judging the competition was Nick Kosovich, the U.S. national champion most recently seen as Vivica A. Fox’s partner on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” as well as Top Chef Winner & Celebrity Chef, Rick Bayless who also danced a salsa during the alumni portion of the show.
The Chicagoland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to work with Jill DeMarlo, owner of Arthur Murray, and founder of this very unique event and Jane Melvin, Event Chair.

Golf for the Cure®
Please consider joining us at the Golf for the Cure® & Promise Awards Dinner on June 11th, 2010 at the Highland Park Country Club in Highland Park, IL. This unique event provides our Komen Chicago community the opportunity to rally around a cause that has so deeply affected all of us. And, this time around it’s not about the score. Come celebrate with us out on the golf course and over dinner at The Promise Awards Dinner. Golfers are encouraged to bring along family and friends for dinner to enjoy a three-hour open bar, dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions, and raffle prizes. Event details are as follows:
